Learning

Okay, there is a first time for everything! The GCC Come Together construction site has provided me with this challenge. I figured I would give it a shot and make it available to family and friends. One is never too old to learn new things no matter how big or small it is. What may seem to be a BIG challenge for one it may be an easy thing for others. The idea is to get out and keep expanding your horizon. God does not want us to sit back and be content with what we know now but to keep learning. The most important thing to keep learning and growing with is our walk with the Lord. He is the one that makes life worth living and the more we know Him the more we want to know Him better. So I challenge all of you to step out and try new things and to keep learning! Feel free to post your comments.

Hear it ia August 14th. Weather has been unseasonably cool but very nice none the less. Shawn has enjoyed being outside very much and I take him on walks with me every chance that I get. If he is fussy that is a sure cure! I believe he likes seeing God's creation even though at this young age he is not aware of it! I look forward to seeing him grow in size and in learning. As in my previous post learning is an essential thing in life especially for young children. There is so much to see and do and learn that as we grow older we tend to take the simple things in life for granted. Over the last several years I have especially realized that. Going for walks has brought this back to me. Also it is such a joy watching Shawn discover new things. God's word does say that we should be like young children. Open to learn and to enjoy the simple things in life. Children help us to see things through their eyes. They are small but mighty. Have you ever seen how they can bring a smile to one even if we are down? Have you ever walked into a nursing home and seen their yes light up when you bring a samll child in? I have been taking Shawn to a nursing home close to home and have gotten so much enjoyment out of it myself. The residents there look forward to having him stop by!
Later!
