A Little Child....

Hear it ia August 14th. Weather has been unseasonably cool but very nice none the less. Shawn has enjoyed being outside very much and I take him on walks with me every chance that I get. If he is fussy that is a sure cure! I believe he likes seeing God's creation even though at this young age he is not aware of it! I look forward to seeing him grow in size and in learning. As in my previous post learning is an essential thing in life especially for young children. There is so much to see and do and learn that as we grow older we tend to take the simple things in life for granted. Over the last several years I have especially realized that. Going for walks has brought this back to me. Also it is such a joy watching Shawn discover new things. God's word does say that we should be like young children. Open to learn and to enjoy the simple things in life. Children help us to see things through their eyes. They are small but mighty. Have you ever seen how they can bring a smile to one even if we are down? Have you ever walked into a nursing home and seen their eyes light up when you bring a small child in? I have been taking Shawn to a nursing home close to home and have gotten so much enjoyment out of it myself. The residents there look forward to having him stop by! Later!
